Fabrice Jean

Fabrice Jean is a Canadian audio engineer based in Montreal. He primarily worked at Planet Studios from 2017 to 2019. From 2019 to 2023, he worked at Piccolo Studios. Since 2023, Fabrice has been working as an independent engineer in various studios, particularly at Tonebender within Studio Mixart. In 2024, Fabrice won a GAMIQ Award and received an ADISQ nomination for his contribution to the Jazz Album of the Year, Carnaval by Carl Mayotte, where he collaborated with Luc "Tapageur" Boivin at La Shed Noire Studio on Brazilian percussions. In 2025, Fabrice won a Juno Award for Best Contemporary Roots Album of the Year with Kaia Kater’s Strange Medicine for his contribution as an engineer, recording winds, strings, brass, some vocals, and banjo. With more than 10 years of experience in the industry (recording, vocal production, and mixing), Fabrice has had the opportunity to collaborate with many different artists across a variety of styles and genres, working with some of the best musicians in the country. His main goal is to produce a sound that blends the ideas of the producer, label, and artist for each individual project. He is always striving to create a finished product that best represents their vision.
